Birthday Dance time again!!!
This time it's Andrea in need of a little Happy Birthday Celebration!!!! Happy Birthday girl!!! Did you get an earthquake for your birthday or what!!!! I hope all is good over there with you guys! Hip hip hooray! It's your Birthday!!!!
Off to a bad start!
So yesterday Blue started getting a cough.I was hoping it was just a tickle but it's turned into a flow blown big deal... The timing could not be worse! We leave for CA this Sunday and who wants to take a sick kid anywhere! She was up all night with a fever and was just plane miserable so that's means so was I ! I have her going into see the Doctor this morning just to be sure her ears and throat are ok. I think we can get her cough taken care of before we go but I's hate to be on vacation and have her need to see a doctor! That's the pits!
I have a focus group at my house tonight on "Going Green!" Wish I felt a little more rested and ready! I feel like I need to make up 5 hours of sleep I lost last night to be anything less then a zombie!I haven't had a night like that for a while! Oh well...
So I have tons to do today. Clean, take Blue to the doctor, organize my thoughts for tonight, make a refreshment ( buy one at this point!), finish up some stuff for a boutique this weekend! Better get off my tukis and get moving!!!
Have a great day folks... darn! Just remembered I need to get a sub for Sunday! Good job Becks! it's Thursday and you need a sub! Wonderful!

Tuesday!!!
Nothing like coming off that 3 day Weekend high!!! We had family in town and it was great!!! Monday Mike had off so we were able to get the house back in order and to my surprise Mike gave me the green light to go buy paint for kitchen!!!!Whoo Hoo....or so I thought!!! I finally narrowed down my favorite shade... it wasn't quite a red, more a terracotta orange tone with brown... hard to discribe.. anyway, as we were on our way to the Depot I just wasn't feeling 100% about the coclor. I kept telling myself to just run with it and not pass up Mikes willing attitude but when it came my turn to tell "Kent" my favorite paint guy at Home Depot what I wanted I had to walk away! I just wasn't ready!
Dude that was weird! I just couldn't do it! I was standing there almost in a cold sweat. I started pacing and I just had to leave! So no paint for us! I think i am giving into the fact that my kitchen is just o hard to match paint for. I have cammo green cabinets and it just doesn't make it easy! But I hate the color the walls are now! I don't see me finding anything soon so I just have to give up the dream... at least for a while!Oh well!
Here's a picture of my kitchen... give me some suggestions on what color direction I should go!!!

So great news! I am headed to CA sooner then latter! YEAH!!! I hope to get out there later this month! Thanks to my MIL who insisted on getting down for a visit! I'll have plenty of time to share the Becca love with all who need a little of me! I'll be making it a long trip!
Oh the things I'll do! Sister time, family time, shopping time! Great!Too many places I need to get to to stock up and bring home! Buffalo Exchange and Trader Joe's a must!Fabric Barn a must!!! AMBER let me know if you want me to pick you up some ribbon and ship it to you! I'd be happy to! Cheesecake with Anie for sure!
It will just be great to be warm again and see good friends and see my family!
Mike and I are also trying to plan a trip in June to somewhere fun without the kids. Christina, I should have you looking up stuff in MEXICO for us! Remember, we are cheap but not 2 star!!We still are uncertain where in MEXICO so for all of you who are frequent Boarder crosser give us your best recommendations! We want a beach resort close to the action and not super secluded. We want to be able to go into the city and shop, dance and just explore with some good sites to enjoy. Ahh I can't wait!

I got BANGED!
Do you ever catch yourself doing something and in that very moment you totally regret doing it but by then it's too late? Well that's the saga I live right now!!! I cut bangs!
I had successfully purged my mind of the very act for months now. It wasn't easy! All to often there I would be gazing in the mirror with scissors in one hand and my hair in the other. Then a voice I know all to well would resonate in my head!!! "PUT THE SCISSORS DOWN!!!" Like I said, for months I listened to that voice but I guess last Friday I didn't hear it for some reason!
By the time I squeezed the scissors for the first time I knew I made the wrong decision but what could I do at that point? I had a section oh hair 6 inches shorter then the two other sides! By then I had sealed my fate.I had committed to having bangs. The alternative at that point was to go around looking like a kindergartner who got caught cutting her own hair. Not sure I don't still look like that but I continued the process and that's that!
Bangs are for sure the hardest thing to get used to! I keep pushing them to the side, trying to hind them or just plane not looking in the mirror. I pin them back at night and I still haven't gotten used to them. Mikes even having a harder time with them. He took me out on a date ( I know!!!Stop the press!) on Friday night and kept laughing and calling me "Bangs!" He says I look like I'm wearing a wig! That's always fun to hear! One more concrete piece of evidence on why I should have listened to that voice!
Oh well! So I have bangs! I was desperate to look different and that's what I got... sort of. This is the wimpy way to try to make a drastic change! I still am tempted to chop all my hair off and do something extreme but after my trauma with bangs, I think I have enough fear in me to keep the scissors in the drawer!

TGIF
Yeah it's Friday!!! But what's the difference right! At least my week was spiced up with a little Bunco last night! Ahhh Bunco!!!Gotta love that! I hosted this month and sadly not everyone could make it but our smaller group was the perfect size for eating yummy food and visiting all night! We didn't even roll a single dice we were so content to just visit and eat! We drew names for prized and everyone was a winner!
Yesterday I went to one of my favorite Stores "The Store." It's a Salvation Army that sells mainly new items still with tags on them from TARGET. They buy by the pound all the left overs so it's basically like shopping the clearance racks...which I do anyway! There were having their 50% off sale so everything was half off. I picked up 3 bathing suites for the girls all for $1 each and two suits for myself each for $1! I also picked up some other odds and ends! I just love that place! Oh and I finally found a solution to my table cloth dilemma there! I have had the hardest time finding a square table clothe. TARGET, Wal Mart, Kmart, Shopko, bed bath and beyond all came up with jack! No one sales them! I had the idea of buying a shower curtain because they are 72" square! PERFECT! So yesterday I picked one up for $4... so much cheaper then having to order one and I just have to trim the side with the holes and te da!!! A perfect solution! So all of you who may find your selves on the hunt for a square table cloth... think shower curtain!
I finally decided on a slip cover for my chair. I'll be keeping it in my room so it will fit in perfectly when we FINALLY get our black bedroom set!!!
It's so comfy and cozy right next to the window!!!The sunlight in our room could not be better! It's the perfect place to sit and read or plan a lesson! LOVE IT!!!
Make sure to check out my family blog!! I have some great videos of the girls!!!

A Walk down Memory Lane!
Earlier today I went through all my old posts on my family blog! it's crazy to think how long I have been blogging now! I just love it! It was a riot to see all the photos and to be reminded that nothing much has changed! I saw a few running themes that have stuck over the years...
I found many a post about my girls, mainly Blue, eating and destroying my lipsticks and other make up products!
I posted often about the sleepless night up with sick kiddos and how much I longed to get a whole nights sleep!
There were many post about funny situations with my girls. Funny things they say or did or just how much they always make me laugh!
And thankfully I wrote more about the good in life then in bad! I really have been blessed!
It was so much fun reading up on my thought and how many of those event resulted in the life we enjoy today!
Another bit of Nostalgia... I got in contact today with an old friend! I have been on the hunt for some of my all time favorite College friends and I finally reached a favorite Sorority sister from Ricks. Sarah was a dear dear friend and we lost contact after her mission. I can't tell you how fun it was to talk to her and get caught up!!!! Don't you love it when stuff like that happens!!!
Well... the sun is shining, Blue used the potty today and I found an old friend!!!What more could I ask for in a day like today? I hope you all are as happy as I am today!!!!!
You know me... I love consistency and apparently so does Blue! We still have our obsessions!!!! This time my mascara was the tool of choice!!! Is this a preview glance into what Blue might look like Goth as a teenager!

Super Bowl Weekend, Food Poisoning and winning $100
Yep.. That pretty much sums up my Weekend!!! WE had super fun company stay with us for the weekend! My husbands freshman crew from BYU gets together each year for Super Bowl weekend!!!! It is always so great to see them! I love all those boys!
While they went to dinner one night I took my girls out for a little "Girls night out!" of our own! It was then I think the food poisoning seed was planted!!! We came home watched Dora and went to bed only to hours later be woken up by that gross sound of vomiting. Now mind you Blue was sleeping right next to me in my bed! This never results in an easy night! one shower, six more bouts of up chucking and endless clean ups later, morning finally came! Thankfully kids bounce back like champs and she was ready to go in the morning! We called ahead to make sure the Super Bowl hosts were ok with her coming and they were! As much as food Poisoning sucks, at leasts it over with fast!
And YES!!! I was a big winner at this years family Super Bowl Grid game! I won in each of the first 3 quarters!!! Glad that score never changed!!! Sadly I'm sure that money has already been spent!!! i had a few shopping trips last week!!! Oops!
So now it's the after math! i hav eto wash bedding and towels and get back to a routine! I was so impressed with my girls behavior this weekend! They loved all the attention and were entertained by people other then me so it was a blast!!!!
Oh!!! This was my very first Football game i wathced from start to finish!!That was huge for me!
I also made the best dip ever for the party! Talk about an easy recipe...
Sausage dip!
1 lb. Ground Sausage
1 package cream cheese
1 can diced tomato's
Brown sausage and drain, add can of tomato's undrained to skillet. Then add the cream cheese in cubes and cook till completely melted and combined. Serve it hot with tortilla chips!!!

Pres. Hinckleys viewing
This morning I was able to attend the public viewing of our beloved Prophet. It was a morning I will never forget! I drove down with my friend Lesa and the entire time we spoke fondly of Pres. Hinckley and his years of service and humor we all adored. I don't think either of us were prepared for the feelings and Spirit we were about to encounter.
We were ushered into the Conference center and followed a line of People waiting to pay their respects. I remember a hush of reverence coming over all of as we slowly made are way closer. Tears started coming to my eyes as I pictured my time quickly approaching when I would see my departed Prophet.
As we entered the Hall of Prophet's I could not contain my emotions and the tears freely fell as I gazed at the beautiful flower arrangements and casket. I was not expecting the casket to be opened. I was taken by surprised as I saw laying there the peaceful and beautiful body of Gordon B. Hinckley. Nearby stood his sons greeting others with smiles on their face and I over heard one son say " He had us laughing till the very end!" The peace and love in their eyes was a comfort to me.
I felt a deep sadness today as I said goodbye in my heart to a man I loved and admired. It was the same sadness I have felt when other close loved ones have left. As happy as I am for his body to be resting and for his reunion in Heaven I was grateful for this feeling of sorrow and loss. He truly was a man of honor, glory and conviction. I felt solace in my sadness... it made him feel that much closer to me and mean that much more.
This is not just a loss for our Church , it is a loss for humanity. Gordon B. Hinckley was the only living Prophet living on this earth. He was here to prophesy for all who could hear his voice or feel his love! Today that reality sunk in and that great loss was felt.
As we left I could not thank my Savior enough for allowing me to be able to attend that morning. It was a moment and feeling I have never in my left experiance! Forever I will hold those impressions in my heart! I left with a feeling of encouragement. A feeling that life was a dress rehearsal meant for us to touch others and do our best while we can. It made me want to be a better mother a better wife and friend. It's hard to explain but that visit resulted in a change inside of me. I pray that I'll be able to hold onto this feeling I feel adn always remember my moment with the Prophet.
