Debate last night!

Anyone watch it?

I'll get to the good stuff in a sec but did anyone else notice how much make up they both had on!Yeeshk!!! I don't even wear that much!

Ok... let's dive in! I didn't catch it all but I will say I was impressed at how they both men were able to manage slipping in the "When I'm President!" on basically every answer! Is that really necessary! We know what your working for guys! It's not like you are campaigning for "Employee of the month!" I was annoyed by that!

This is the part I hate about politics. They spend their allotted time talking about what the other one said, stands for or represents instead of talking about what they say, stand for or represent! Then the rebuttal starts and all it is chance for the "accused" to then accuse the other of even more! Ugg!This is why debates are so hard to really appreciate and get much out of! Just tell me what you stand for, represent and what you plan on doing!Leave the other guy out of it!He'll get his chance! Time is of the essence now guys! basically all I want to say is...

GET TO THE POINT!!!!

Where's Mom and Dad?

I'm realizing that some day my kids will ask this question! We recently had a virus on our computer and as Mike was reinstalling all our photos we came to a conclusion.... All our pictures are of our kids and none of us with our kids or of us as parents! Photo after photo of adorable milestones and antics of Blue and Crick but rarely a photo of us!

Trust me... I'm not the first to jump in front of the camera on Christmas morning half asleep and hair looking like we all know it does! I will say my hands arms and feet do make many cameos in photos but who wants to look years down the road just to see what my ankles looked like in 'o7? It's the same sad fate in home videos.

I'm convinced I am doing my kids a disservice at this point! They will have little to laugh at as they get older when they flip through their photos! No "Look at mom's ridiculous hair!" "What on earth were you wearing mom?" and " No way that was in style!" We all know the photos of our own parents that are classic! I can vividly remember a picture of my mom in a blue leotard 9 months pregnant with me! Classic!!!And one of my dad with a huge mustache and even huger glasses! I love those photos as dorky as they may be!

So to myself and all ya all out there who fall into the same category, lets do something about it! It's motivation enough for me to slap on a little lipstick or curl my hair once in a while and capture it on camera! I may look like a mom 90% of the time and 90% of the time it's not worth capturing but for the kids sake get in a photo already!!!! It really should be known that we didn't just drop our kids off at Disneyland by themselves or let them hunt for Easter eggs while mom hide inside!!!! WE too were there!

I really AM pregnant!!!!

So call me crazy, It won't be the first time, but I actually feel pregnant!!! It's hard to explane but I haven't really felt confident about this pregnancy. Probably because I haven't yacked a single time and yacking is a 100% no fails clue that I am defiantly preggers!

I had my second doctors visit yesterday and I got the reasurance I needed. I was completely prepared to show up and not hear a heart beat and be told it wasn't going to be a successful pregnancy. But there I was with fingers crossed and soon comforted by the soft sound of a rhythmic waves of baby heart beats! What a comfort! I even got to see the baby on ultra sound again!there it was this time actually resembling a baby with a head and a body and a kicking leg! So good news! I am pregnant and my baby for sure has one leg!

Honestly I have a whole new connection and attitude when it comes to this baby! I really felt a disconnect before and no longer is that the case! It's a wonderful feeling!

More good news!My platelet count is holding strong and I only dropped by 12! That's huge! We still predict it will go down but what can you do besides wait! It's still a constant concern and consumes my thoughts come blood work day!Luckily I am being treated at a Cancer center so I get my results in minutes as opposed to the next days! It's way easier on my nerves! Most of you know how HUGE of a worrier I am! Blood results are not fun to wait for!

I'm still losing weight but have even more great news to report! After my visit I was able to eat an entire Big Mac meal!!!!!! Probably not the best thing to celebrate with and actually finish but My doctor and I will take it! For real... you got to eat what sounds good at the moment and that was it!

So things are good over here! Glad to be able to post something that more resembles Rainbows and bunnies then Eeyore and rain clouds! I'm off to enjoy the day with my girls!!!!!

Nothing has changed!

So I've been on the phone all morning trying to locate a Thanksgiving dinner! I'm jonesin' for some mashed potatoes, turkey, cranberry sauce and green bean casserole. Wheres a Boston Market when you need one people! For real!I'm forced to drag my sister to a Utah Classic and hit up the Golden Coral for lunch in t minus 33 minutes! Don't worry! I called ahead to make sure they have all that I need! Soon enough I'll be diggin in to a pile of food that sounds oh so good! How in the world am I going to last 30 minutes!

Boo has been in town all weekend and it's been perfect! Poor thing has to be subject to my craving runs and yes we've eaten out like every day! I've cooked quite a bit too! Happiness though! For the first time ever I know everything I want for Christmas already! I've really been cooking a lot! I love it! Remember I'm addicted to Food Network! There is so much I need to be a good cook! I want it all and thankfully Christmas is in striking distance!

so yes I blog less! yes I stay home more! Yes I'm still sick! I'm not trying to avoid anyone, in fact I seem to be meeting more people while pregnant. So what if they are drive through attendance who have started to recognize me. But honestly I'm still alive and still pregnant. That pretty much equals me being a totally different person no one familiar with! Don't take it personally! I can't at times stand to be around myself so I spare all my friends the misery and just keep to myself torturing my family trust me, I'm no fun to fight with! My poor husband is a saint to survive this pregnancy! We may be done at three for the sake of our marriage ha ha ha!!!!

ok... I think I burned a few more minutes! I can pack the car, pick up Cricket and be in line for gravy helpings soon enough! Take care my friends. Happy Lunch!

Cravings

So yeah! This go around I can't remember ever having craving so intense. The moment I think of eating something I have to have it. That's all I can think about until I finally get my hands on something. And I don't always crave a food per say that is normal. I crave Steak Sauce and that red sweet sauce you dip egg rolls in. I crave an egg yoke or crushed pellet ice. It doesn't help that I also crave food network! It's always filling my head with next to impossible dishes I soon imagine for hours!

This was my plight last night! I was having a little down time down stairs and got caught up watching "Throw Down with Bobby Flay!" He was off to Nashville Tennessee to Challenge the biscuit and jam champion of all time! I sat there with my droll stains on my shirt for thirty minutes and was in a trance! I had to have me some home made biscuits and home made jam and I needed it NOW!!!

So up stairs I went pounding headache and all and got to work! Now have I ever made a home made biscuit you may ask? NO!!! And Do I have skills to just whip up home made jam let alone the ingredient in my house to do such a task? YES and NO!!!! Never attempted to make jam but oddly enough had a whole bag of frozen strawberries in my freezer!!!!SCORE!!!

45 min later I was scarfing down biscuits and home made jam and it wasn't half bad!!! I know I'm crazy! That usually never happens. I usually try my hardest to talk myself down from a craving!Telling myself I already spent so much money on food this week indulging on cravings only to find myself an hour later in line at rice king ordering the appetizer combo and a large order of chicken fried rice at 2 in the afternoon! I have no shame!

Hours of the day no longer pigeon hole an acceptable meal time! I literally wake up and tell myself " If I can just get to 10 am I consider that a successful example of will power and Subway is by far the best way to reward myself!" So it's subway at 10, an ice cream at 3 and an egg sandwich at 10:30 pm! Totally ok in my book!

So yeah! I'm feeling it girls!!! hunger and cravings are knocking at my door all day long! Do I fight it? No! So if you see me at Del Taco in the middle of the morning rush, afternoon chill hour or into the wee hours of the early morning, have no fear! I probably just need a churro in a really bad way! Thanks Del Taco for being open 24 hours!

Super Saturday in the works!

Anyone else on an Enrichment committee and neck deep in planning a Super Saturday? I am and we have a great one in the works! I've never been to one in this ward. Last year I skipped it becasue all they had were Vinyl projects and who needs one more Vinyl project! I've meet my quota! I was sad to miss it becasue I love making fun crafts and chatting and eating great food.

This year I vowed not to get roped into doing much! Unfortunately everyone knows I craft and to be honest our ward is less then willing to step up and volunteer to teach if they aren't on the committee themselves. They think that magically these things get thrown together and POOF!!! A Super Saturday!

So with time running out and a few personal tragedies in our own committee I felt the pressure and gave in. You should have seen me yesterday! On a hunt for supplies and with a time crunch of a monkey on my back! We had a meeting Last night where all we were going to talk about was Super Saturday! All over Salt Lake Valley I went and when all was said and done with one hour left to make dinner I had three projects done!

Thanks to my amazing sister and her sharing her wards projects she told me about this adorable Pennant Birthday Banner! How cute is this!!!!! It's 3 yards long and I have this set for a unisex choice and then a boy and girl set to chose from!

Then I made these fun snowmen take out boxes that make great gift boxes for neighbors, teacher or coworker gifts. They are made out of Chinese food Take out boxes and can be filled with anything. These are only going to be $1 to make so I'm sure they will be a hit! Cheaper things seem to do really well!

And lastly These 1.5 inch magnets made of marbles and scrapbook paper!

There are some other fun projects planned like card making, an adorable dish towel apron, bread making class, and I'm suppose to teach a pretzel dipping class too but not sure how I'm going to swing it!Hopefully I can see if someone else can do it or we can nix it! I just laid awake for hours last night trying to figure out how this is all going to work! You know me! Full of ideas but always get myself in too deep when I really shouldn't. Here I am trying to simplify my life and I do it again! Oh well!

I'd love to hear what your wards are doing! Maybe I can swap out the pretzel class for something more simple! And if you want directions for any of my projects just let me know! I love sharing ideas!
