Oi Vey

The lack of sleep is definitely catching up with me! Charlie is a snuggle bug sleeper. Translation...Sleeps best when I'm holding her. Translation: I sleep horribly and end up holding her in bed all night! Seriously kid! And it's only at night! Right now she's happy as a clam by herself sawing logs for a good three hours! Go figure! I don't remember my others being this attached at night! It's been rough!

I'm also dealing with a lot of other random things that don't seem to be helping. I'm of course feeling the guilt of having to share my time and attention four ways. There's no way around this one!Guilt is guilt and when you toss in hormones and sore boobs it's a recipe for disaster! I started "Special time" with the girls where they get one on one time with me. Today I painted Blues nails. She was in heaven just the two of us!

I miss Mike too. He's here but I'm so wrapped up in being a mom and he's totally picking up the slack. We're both living these totally busy lives with different responsibilities, we seem to be passing each other. I feel it more then ever because I'm completely falling in love with him all over again as I see him doing so much. It's like all I want to do is stop everything, climb into his arms and just be with him. Tell him how much I adore him and appreciate all that he is doing and just sob! ok... I did that this morning and he just let me! One more reason I love him.

Love makes you feel crazy inside! It's a good crazy but lately my love seems to be oozing from my eyes in the form of tears! I'll look at my kids and tear up. I think about Mike my eyes leak a little more! I love it actually. This is one time in my life I really give into my emotions! Again...hormones, sleep deprivation and new baby spirits tend to do that to me!

Charlies been a good baby in general. More needie in the sense that she loves to be held but it's easy to hold something you love so much. The girls are having their moments as to be expected! I still wouldn't wish these days away. I'll never have Charlie as tiny as she is today. We'll never be this amazing team, working together in all of it's newness. It's a good time in our lives.

There has been a lot swirling around me in the last week. I'm trying to do my best and keep everything in perspective. What's really important, what I can and can not control...I'm trying to focus on the things that I want to remember and not on the things that could cloud it all up.

So basically you could say I'm a typical new mom! Enjoying the highs and lows of a new baby at home and all that involves! I'd never give it up! I'd never trade it for anything! I feel blessed to be who I am, as I am, with the litlte family I've helped create!

Almost forgot....

This is too good! On Saturday we ended up walking the mall, all in the effort to get my contractions stronger but that's beside the point. While we were slipping into American Eagle I couldn't help but notice some commotion going on over at TORRID, a plus sized store for sassy hip plumper woman.

WHAT! is that what I think it is? Oh no they didn't!!!!!

Guess who set up shop in their front window! None other then the girl Scouts themselves hawking their cookies! Does anyone else see that as wrong!!!!

There was even a girl dressed up as a Tagalong!! Shoot! I was ready to take a bite of her! So either this was brilliant marketing ploy by Torrid them selves or a sick joke and we were all on Candid camera as the secretly caught our reactions to the cookie sale at the plus sizes store! Oh funny!

Their mom's planned it perfectly by just barely missing giving birth on St. Patrick's Day!!! NO offense St. Pat but I'd rather not have a baby on this oh so green holiday! ( I swear if she comes Tomorrow!!!!Why I ought' a!!!)

Liar

So Tylenol PM soooo Lied to me! it "claimed" to be able to relieve me of aches and pains and gently aid in my sleep!!! Poppy Cock! Malarkey! Rubbish!!! Did I toss and turn any less last night as I was witness to every number glow on my alarm clock!NO!!!!!

Oh boy!! I have never been this tired and sore with any of my pregnancies! Is it because I'm almost 30? Because it's my 3rd...maybe it's because I don't exercise! What ever!

Tylenol can kiss my wide butt! It gave me false hope and that's a pretty mean thing to do to a girl in my state! I'm desperate for some sleep and relief so I guess I'll have to give it a few more nights and let it redeem it's self! Good luck Tylenol PM. You're on thin ice in this house!

Scattagories

Attention all... I just have to take a second and announce that Mike and I are still madly in love even after a good game of Scattegories. We've previously been banned from the game in some homes because of our lack of control when it comes to disputing answers! I think Rob and Steph still have recurring nightmares over the matter! They wouldn't even dare mention the game without regret!

Yesterday we had Mikes family over for dinner and games and it was all too wonderful. I guess Mike and I have both matured when it comes to competitive nature!Fun was had by all and no one came to blows!

Do you guys ever get heated when playing games! I'm not competitive by nature but Mike seems to love getting under my skin...only he has that magic power over me! For real this was real problem in our first few years of marriage. Now I just laugh it off and find it endearing almost!

Also I just wanted to apologize to Tiff and Josh for tramatizing them with pictures from my Bradly Method Natural child birth book!!!! No woman should have nipples that large and yes...the 70's are over and it's more then acceptable to do a little grooming down there now a days!

Using my lap!

There is little my lap can manage these days! the girls barely fit! I even have trouble crossing my legs with this unavoidable bulge in the way. But there is one thing that fits quite nice...

My new Laptop!!!!!!!

For a few months now Mike has been working on bringing me home a laptop from work! No he didn't steal it! It's just been sitting there in a drawer collecting dust. Policy at work is that unused computers can be wiped clean and taken home!

So here I sit, in bed, snuggling my girls with a laptop on my lap wishing all of you a happy day! Thanks to my awesome Mike D. I have a new toy! Love you babe!

Baby update....

I had a scare the other day! I thought my water broke! I was standing in the kitchen and all of a sudden was "wetting" myself! A good amount of water made its way down my legs and onto the floor! I made it to the bathroom and sat down only then to relieve myself but this time the right way! Pardon the info but my wet cloths didn't smell like urine. After cleaning myself up I called my friend and my doctor. I wasn't leaking anything so the doc didn't feel the need to send me to the hospital. I had an appointment the next day so I was ok with that!

Basically it happened again... I ruptured a twin sac of water! The same thing happened when I was pregnant with Blue. Crazy!!!!

My first "let's see what's happening up there" visit revealed that I'm 1.5 cm dialated and 60% effaces so let the games begin. I know this is no indication of when it will be go time but I do like the feeling that I have that much less work to do!!!!

Ok people! Breakfast is calling! Have a great day!

Product Review time...

I love a good product! I've even been one to spend some good money on something I love if it pampers me. This list of product reviews are all products I have grown pretty attached to. They cost more then I'd like to pay but are well worth their value!

HEMPZ Body Lotion: retails $24
I was first introduced to this product years and years ago. My sister wore it and it has an unmistakable aroma that is to die for! It's creamy and well absorbed and is so enriching. I am addicted to it's smell and feel. I can pick it out of a crowd when worn by others! This large bottle last a while when worn with some thought. I use it mainly on my hands and arms, keeping it's scent close to my nose and not wasting it on my legs even though it has incredible moisturizing advantages. I just want it to last! My husband also loves the scent! This is by far my favorite lotion.

*** If you have a friend with a cosmetology license be sure to make nice and ask them to take you to their whole sale store for products. You'll pay half price!!!!

Jack Black Body Lotion for Men: Retails $22
This fantastic bottle of love is perfect for men! It's not that flowery fem scented lotion they accidentally use in the morning and then get weird looks at all day at work because they smell like a girl! It's a subtle manly smell that is perfect to smell on your man as you kiss him good by for work each morning! It's rich and has great moisture as well and is well absorbed!Key factors in lotion if you ask me! This entire line is sold at Nordstrom. Wish I could get it half off but I can't.

Bert's Bee Baby Bee Apricot Baby Oil: Retails $8

If you are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant I highly recommend this wonder oil!

When I was knocked up for the very first time my good friend Julie swore by using Apricot Kernel oil to prevent stretch marks! She sent me a bottle of lotion and I fell hard for the stuff. It smelled incredible and I religiously lathered my growing belly, butt and boobs every day! Months later after popping out a baby I was hard pressed to find a single stretch mark on my tummy! It sadly was unavoidable on my boobs. The body isn't meant to grow that fast in one hours time! HELLO PORN Boobs!!! Anyway... The lotion she sent me was froma Foo Foo Boutique in Northern CA. I have since fallen equally as hard for Bert's Bees Baby Apricot Oil!Enriched with the same goodness and actually makes you smell like a human Cabbage Patch Kid!!! A plus in my book! It's sold at TARGET so anyone can find it! I have used it for my last two pregnancies and I still have no signs of SM. They say they are hereditary which means I should have my fair share so I'm a believer people!!! This stuff rocks!

Maybellines Dream Liquid Mouse Foundation: Retails $8

Love it!!!! Great coverage! Great light feel and a little goes a long way!!! For those of us who wear foundation this new line is a must try! It's easy to get a smooth even full coverage and it feels weightless. The only thing that sucks is that it's usually hard to match your skin tone when you can't sample it at a counter. I got really lucky and bought the shade that fits my tone. I know some drug stores offer a color match grantee so hit up those retail stores and hold onto your receipt. I think RITE AID is one of them but double check.

Mornings

Thankfully my girls are not the kind to greet the sun as it creeps over the mountains. By 7:30-8 I have two snuggle bugs, one on each side warming my sleepy body! It's my favorite time of day. I'm pretty lucky. I 'm still not tied to strictly to morning demands but that's all about to change. I'll soak in my morning luxury as long as I can then fully give in to the demands of a school schedule and a baby as my alarm clock.

Cricket starts Kindergarten this summer and I've been so torn on what to do. They offer a.m. and a p.m. class choice and I went back and forth on what to pick! I'd never call myself a morning person but I do have to say I'm completely capable of becoming one. I have an easy time adjusting to the point that if I have to be up a certain time my body tortures me all night long making myself wake up every 20 minutes to check the clock! It's horrible!

I loved the idea of having her up and out the door early when she is at her best and home in time to enjoy the afternoons with us. The idea of fighting with her every morning in the "get dressed" department was the only thing keeping me from loving the morning idea! You all know my struggles with this!

Afternoon was so appealing mainly for the clothing issues but she would be home all morning and then gone from 12:30-3:30 basically meaning if I didn't get out in the morning or when she's at school by the time she did get home the days pretty much almost done!

It's a flip of a coin some days but I finally came to the conclusion that I need to bite the bullet and put her in the morning class. I think it's just better for all of us! That way I can get her out the door, get my house work done and pick her up and be ready for whatever the day has to offer. She'll be more alert in the morning and we will have had less time to tick each other off before she needs to go.

Of course I'm worried about the getting dressed part! I told her we'll be picking her outfits out for the week and there will be no time to change her mind. Cross your fingers.

I still can't believe she'll be in school soon! Kindergarten orientation went great. She can't wait!
