Monday Monday....

My morning started off with a sour toddler! All I am hearing is " Mommy mommy!!" in a whinny voice! She follows me around just miserable for no reason! It's most likely the aftermath of visitors! My kids are always at their worst behavior when we have company! they ignore rules, our instruction and just get crazy! The few days after are a recovery session for the kids and I HATE it!!!!

So are you guys looking forward to Thanksgiving! I am!!! I love this Holiday! WE are having Tiff and Josh and my Mom over for dinner! I can hardly wait! I am making my first Thanksgiving dinner. Here's the menu...

Turkey ( cross your fingers I know can figure this out!)
Mashed Potatoes
Green Bean Casserole
Creamed Corn ( not what you think!)
Jello salad
Rolls
Salad

I'm hungry already! I just hope it all goes ok. I love Thanksgiving day. We sit around looking at ads for Black Friday!!! Any of you planning on venturing out to go shopping the day after?

Good luck on cooking your first ever Thanksgiving turkey--your a real women now! I've never cooked one myself and would be so scared to mess up. I love creamed corn, and the rest of the menu looks great too! Enjoy Thanksgiving with your family!

Yes! We are so hitting ALL the stores the day after Thanksgiving. I can't wait! We have to buy all the kids new winter clothes and I'm SOOOO excited! A great tip for a great turkey...go to foodnetwork.com and look up Alton Brown's turkey brine. It sounds like it wouldn't be that great, but Josh and I used it on our turkey last year and it was AMAZING! We made one that way, his mom made one the normal "traditional" way and everyone ate ours first. It was gone that day! Anyway, good luck and let us know how it turns out!

My kids are the same way when we have visitors, so sassy...Ugh. I'm sure your feast will turn out fab! Some friends are trying to talk me into venturing out Friday. A few years ago when we had gone to Jeremy's grandma's for the holidays, they went and left home at 3 a.m. to get to the stores by opening time! Crazy. I was glad I was out of town that year, now I just have to think of an excuse for why I'm not going this year! lol.

I went shopping last year at 5 am and it was INSANE. Plus I'm still nursing Noah, so I have to wait until later maybe 8am. Oh and cook your turkey upside down, it doesn't "look" as pretty, but it is SO much juicier. We usually don't put the whole turkey on the table. We slice it in the kitchen and then put the meat on a platter so we don't need it to be a good looking bird ;) Have fun!

I think you're in good company with the girls and visitors. Mine do the same thing and I think it's because they are use to having all your attention, but quickly realize when there is company around, they don't have your undivided attention.
Your thanksgiving sounds wonderful, good luck with the turkey and shopping on Friday!

Oh, Thanksgiving! My all time favorite holiday! Food, family and relaxation and then, when all is said and done, there is still Christmas to look forward too! Good luck on your dinner, I'm sure it will turn out amazing!

I've never shopped on Black Friday, but I have worked retail when the doors open! One of my favorite times to work! I love all the hussle and bussle! There is just so much energy and excitment! I'm pretty sure we are going to venture out this year and I can't wait!

Yum! Sounds good! I still have never cooked a thanksgiving meal yet...I'm thinking I may give it a try next year. We'll see! Sorry the girls are grouchy...maybe it is just that time of year...Meredith is having a bad day, too! Isn't it the worse when your kids are whiny! I hate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yummy! Your dinner sounds like it is going to be so good! I will be hitting the stores at some point on Friday. I am not getting up early, and being there by 5:00 though. I did that 2 times, and it just isn't for me! :) Jake, and a bunch of his friends are talking about spending the night at Walmart tonight to get a laptop in the morning, when their sale starts at 5:00! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Rebecca. I am so Thankful to have you as my friend!!! :)
