Furniture hunting will be the death of me!

So another failed attempt at furniture shopping this weekend! I swear we'll have a mattress on the floor for another year! I HATE, Loath, Dread, and despise furniture shopping! Nothing out there is doing it for us! And I wouldn't say we are that picky. A black set! That's all we need! When we think we find a bed we like, we hate the dressers. Then we find dressers we love but they won't sell us just the dresser! And the lone unique chest of drawers we want to mix it up with has yet to be made! Ok so we may have a tall order trying to find a bed and a dresser in black and then a different chest of drawers.Oh this process makes my head spin!

AND... were shopping for anew mattress! The one we have sucks! Luckily we can take it back but the next one we buy will for sure not have that option so I better Love it! I thought I loved the one we have now but after one nights sleep I was ready to toss it! A year later I'm still hating it and finally insisting we upgrade!

What I wouldn't give to walk in to my bedroom and see it furnished and have the softest bed ever to welcome me each night! Oh that would be such a dream!!1Instead I live a nightmare!!!!

amazing mattresses are worth their weight in gold. I remember being so nervous about how much we spent on ours 3 years ago. Now? Never spent a better lump of money to this day. I think everynight, "I love my bed."
Good luck with the process.

mattresses are so hard! You think they are comfy in the store, but you can't REALLY tell until you have a full nights sleep on them! I wish you luck!

I have been looking for the perfect bedroom set for about 3 years myself. I know what you are feeling. I don't want to just pick one because I want one so bad because it is something you keep for a long time!

i thought rob was crazy for wanting to spend the money on our mattress, but it is one of the best investments we ever made, i love it! i was so ready to just buy one from the swapmeet just to get off of grandma's twin bed pushed together- remember that?!
good luck furniture shopping- it will be worth it when you find what yo love!

Good luck with that! We were lucky to find a bedroom set we loved at a wholesale store right in Shelley of all places. We bought the Denver Mattress "Doctor's Choice" mattress and it's pretty good. (Although, I would be intrested to try a "Sleep Number" or Temperpedic" someday.)

BTW - the new ward we're moving into has Bunco and I'm interested to try if I have an opportunity!

Oh that is the worst! I know how long you have been looking for "THE" right bed and dresser. HOpe you don't have to end up settling on something you don't love. Okay so the whole BUNCO thing is so fun. I used to go down in Provo area but driving there was too much so I quit. I had a girls night group that was going to be a Bunco group but one of the girls in it said that her husband "heard" someone say that someone's Bishop said not to join these terrible "Gambling" groups. AS IF! I guess that is Utah for you...so we ended up calling it girls night out. That group fizzled and I now am in a Card Club that is soooo fantastic! I know what you mean about the whole feeling left out thing you feel like you have to keep it on the DL with certain people.....ahhh why do we worry so much!

totally mix and match. have you tried z gallerie? i'm suprised you haven't refinished some crazy awesome find into something amazing at this point.

we dumped a CRAZY amount of $$$ on a mattress 4 years ago and it was HEAVEN...for about a year. now it has the biggest CRATERS where our bodies go. I say stay away from huge pillow tops. I want to try a sleep number or intelligel bed next. which will be soon. crap.

I am going through the same dilema right now. I'm aching to redo my bedroom. I have it pictured in my mind exactly what I want... I just can't find it either. It doesn't help that I'm cheap and don't want to pay an arm and a leg for it. Good luck!

I hate when I can't find what I am looking for!! Especially when you have to be reminded everyday when you go into your room!!

I love Bunco and love our group of girls! Such a blast!! Long live BUNCO!!

Have you looked for furniture at "Down to Earth" at Gardener Village? I love that store. Just a thought.

I feel for you! That's why I'm glad that Josh can make us anything we are in need of. It saves me time hunting through stores! I don't have any idea what your budget is for your furniture, but have you ever looked at Restoration Hardware? It is my dream store, if only it were less expensive! Good luck with your hunt though...whatever you find I know will be great in the end, because you have good taste! Can't wait to see what you get!
