Girls Night out!

Every time my girlfriend comes to town a group of us girls from high school all get together for dinner! It is always a blast to catch up with each other! We have been doing it for years and each visit small things change.This time Julie, my best friend growing up, brought along her 2 month old little baby Noah! He is such a good baby!

Yesterday I had a great chance to catch up with Michelle. I finally called her after two weeks of meaning to. She is so fun and I always love visiting with her.

Oh i forgot to report how HORRIBLE my trip to get pictures taken was!!!!! it was a nightmare! I didn't expect it to be anything but! Molly was a wreck! I have to go back and retake them next week. YEAH!!!! It didn't help that they were running late and we had to wait 30 min. Oh well!

Ok girls! Have a great day! I am hopefully going to get a lot done around my house and get some crafting done! Cross your fingers that I have a productive day. We head out to Phoenix Friday morning for the weekend so I have lots to do before we go!!!! Take care!

A Night with the Idols!!!!

We had the time of our life last night! Thanks to our friends Colton and Courtney Gibbie, We got the VIP treatment at American Idol last night! The fun and excitement started even before we got into the studio. We First saw Janice Dixison, former super model, who in real life is the thinnest thing I have ever seen! We were able to talk to her and her daughter in the green room. She was very nice! Before the Show we grab a Kodak moment with former Idol Brandon from this season. We say Simon and Randy and Nigel Lithgo all arrive but quickly enter... I couldn't get my camera out fast enough!

Once inside we had access to the green room and tables of foods! I was too excited to eat! We had amazing seats! The studio is of course much smaller then it looks like on tv! Some of the other celebrates in attendance were Ivanca Trump, Shawn from Boyz II Men, One of the students from that 5th grader game show, and hr sister who is on Gilmore Girls. There were so many familiar faces in the audience too but we couldn't pin point who they were.

We also meet Ken Baker the big wig at US magazine. He is good friends with our our friends and the nicest guy! Once the show was over we all mingles with the stars. They were all so great and willing to chat and take pictures. The studio also is home to Dancing with the Stars so that is why we got some great pictures with that cast. It was awesome!!!

The funniest part of the night was that we saw our stage manager from Family Feud working the show. It was great to catch up with him!

All the contestant did AMAZING last night. Phil and Chris were my favorites of the night, But honestly they were all just so great! Listen for me tonight when it airs. I am the person that screams when Simon is commenting on Chris's performance!!

It was the best time ever!

Tonights the night!!!

We are so excited for American Idol Tonight!!!!Of Course i have no idea what to wear and Mike wants to wear this sweater...I keep telling him no sweater, at least not the one he wants to wear! We'll see who wins the fashion war!!!

I am getting the girls pictures taken today, never an outing I enjoy! Maybe thats why I haven't done pictures for over about a year! I know I am a terrible mom! It's just never a good experience. Maybe I will be pleasantly surprised!

Weekend Wrap up...

Friday night we went to a great Japanese restaurant for my birthday. It was so great. We cook our own food in a grill in the middle of our table. It was so yummy and fun. I love trying new things!

Saturday was a non stop day for me. We had a community garage sale so I was up at dawn putting up 15 garage sales sings. We had the garage sale but sold just enough to cover the cost of the things we bought! ha ha. Then at 10 am the baby showers began. I had one at 10 and at 12 and at 6 but had to miss that one!!! That night we went to ward soft ball. it was a crazy day!

Sunday I woke up too exhausted to be in a good mood. We have church at 8 am! yikes. I was feeling pretty ho hum but by the end of Sacrament I was so happy to have been at church! My brother gave a great talk, gospel essentials was wonderful and the lesson in RS was just what I needed to hear.

So here we go again... another week ready to race out of the starting block!!!! it feels like it is going to be another full week.

Yesterady...

SUCKED! But that's ok... i haven't had a bad day in forever! I'm already over it!

I have been working on a baby quilt for a shower this weekend. I spend almost 5 hours on it and when i ran it through the wash it came out ruined! I about cried! There is no way to salvage it. Now I am gift less and have to run out to spend even more money on a gift. ugg!!! I did see a hidden miracle in the whole event. I finished the blanket and held onto it for a while before i washed it. Before I washed it I went to start my sisters blanket using the same method but the darn machine would not cooperate. The thread kept breaking and I couldn't even sew a single line! Thank goodness I didn't get that one done two only to have two disasters on my hands!!! Oh well!

My day did end on a positive note! My girlfriend called with great news! She is getting me 2 VIP tickets to see the taping of American Idol next Monday for my birthday!!!! It comes with back stage passes and we get to go meet and take pictures with the contestants!!!! Cool huh! So Mike and I will be partying it up AI style!!!!

I am going out to dinner with Mike tonight to celebrate my B-day! we are going to try a new Japanese restaurant were you cook the meal yourself at your own table!
