Super Saturday in the works!

Anyone else on an Enrichment committee and neck deep in planning a Super Saturday? I am and we have a great one in the works! I've never been to one in this ward. Last year I skipped it becasue all they had were Vinyl projects and who needs one more Vinyl project! I've meet my quota! I was sad to miss it becasue I love making fun crafts and chatting and eating great food.

This year I vowed not to get roped into doing much! Unfortunately everyone knows I craft and to be honest our ward is less then willing to step up and volunteer to teach if they aren't on the committee themselves. They think that magically these things get thrown together and POOF!!! A Super Saturday!

So with time running out and a few personal tragedies in our own committee I felt the pressure and gave in. You should have seen me yesterday! On a hunt for supplies and with a time crunch of a monkey on my back! We had a meeting Last night where all we were going to talk about was Super Saturday! All over Salt Lake Valley I went and when all was said and done with one hour left to make dinner I had three projects done!

Thanks to my amazing sister and her sharing her wards projects she told me about this adorable Pennant Birthday Banner! How cute is this!!!!! It's 3 yards long and I have this set for a unisex choice and then a boy and girl set to chose from!

Then I made these fun snowmen take out boxes that make great gift boxes for neighbors, teacher or coworker gifts. They are made out of Chinese food Take out boxes and can be filled with anything. These are only going to be $1 to make so I'm sure they will be a hit! Cheaper things seem to do really well!

And lastly These 1.5 inch magnets made of marbles and scrapbook paper!

There are some other fun projects planned like card making, an adorable dish towel apron, bread making class, and I'm suppose to teach a pretzel dipping class too but not sure how I'm going to swing it!Hopefully I can see if someone else can do it or we can nix it! I just laid awake for hours last night trying to figure out how this is all going to work! You know me! Full of ideas but always get myself in too deep when I really shouldn't. Here I am trying to simplify my life and I do it again! Oh well!

I'd love to hear what your wards are doing! Maybe I can swap out the pretzel class for something more simple! And if you want directions for any of my projects just let me know! I love sharing ideas!

The one time I don't mind being late!

So I always grew up being late all the time to anywhere I ever went...mainly becasue of my mom! It was always so embarrassing and we were that typical family always late to church, meetings or appointments. Even my very first day of high School was tainted by my mom making us late! yes US!!!My poor girlfriends Julie and Starla were subject to the embarrassment of having to book it to our first class and walk in late! Still a moment I'll never forget!

That's why as an adult I've resorted to being early or on time as best I can!I'm usually the first to arrive at a church party, Bunco night or book club meeting! I leave with time to spare. Now I'm not perfect but I have defiantly made it a priority to be a punctual person!

There are only a few occasions in life where being late is ok...1. When wanting to make a grand entrance at a singles event! Yes I'm guilty of this one. I had some roaring good times as resident fun girl in the singles ward! It was always appropriate to show up fashionable late to a party.I mean who wants to be the first one there when the lights are still on and veggie dip still stands beautifully piled high in the bowl! 2. When you sneak in to early morning seminary before 15 minutes passes!!! Lucky you it's still counted as an attendance and luckier you, you got out of 14 minutes of early morning seminary!!!!!( this is a department I was happy to be late in as often as I could get away with! don't tell my Sunday School kids!) and 3. When you're trying to get pregnant!

So Far in life I've been able to master all three of those exceptions!Yes I partied as a single gal! Yes I had my fair share of warnings in Seminary and Yes I mastered the art of Being late once again! For sure the first two yield a faster positive return. The third one always seems to take too long in my book to enjoy the fruits of my hard labor!!! I'll have to wait till April 6th, official due date, or a few weeks sooner, based on tradition, to see my hard work pay off!!!!! Or should I say Mikes hard work!He He!!!

A few answers for a few burning questions I'm sure! Magically I'm still as fertile as ever! I literally take my cloths off and I get knocked up! I know that's not the norm and I consider it a huge blessing! I think it's my reward for having horrible and worrisome pregnancies. I have to have all my ducks in a row in order to even consider getting pregnant. I am under a high risk ob and hematologists care to manage my blood disorder while pregnant. Numbers are down already from April but still in a very good range for now!

I have yet to Yack!!!!That's cause for a parade I tell you! The yuckiest have defiantly made themselves comfortable! I have NEVER felt so exhausted and so yuck! Still , knock on wood I keep it all down!I seriously hate that part of being a fetus host! no huge cravings...but I will say I have an aversion to candy and sweets and feel drawn to vinegar, briny things and steak sauce! Not sure what that means!

Yes I want a boy!Yes I want a mini Mike!Yes I want Blue to invade our home!Yes I'd be sad if It wasn't a Boy!Yes I'm hoping for a son! I'd rather buy a truck then a dolly! There I said it!

Ok! Sooo that's me making our big announcement! Here is all I ask from you in return...

- Don't make fun of my hair that is in such drastic need of coloring! I'll get to it in a few weeks when the 1st tri is over!

- My house looks the way it does becasue I probably didn't get a bra on until almost 5 o'clock because laying in bed doesn't make me dizzy.

- yes my kids got themselves dressed!

- Yes I was probably home when you knocked on my door but again... I didn't have a bra on!

- My hair will probably only be done on Sundays if I can talk myself into attempting church or on Bunco nights!

- I'm not a flack! I just forget nearly everything when I'm pregnant!

- And yes. My boobs are bigger. Please all try to make a mental note of what Becca really is capable of. There are only three times in my life I get to look like this! Soak it in!

Furniture hunting will be the death of me!

So another failed attempt at furniture shopping this weekend! I swear we'll have a mattress on the floor for another year! I HATE, Loath, Dread, and despise furniture shopping! Nothing out there is doing it for us! And I wouldn't say we are that picky. A black set! That's all we need! When we think we find a bed we like, we hate the dressers. Then we find dressers we love but they won't sell us just the dresser! And the lone unique chest of drawers we want to mix it up with has yet to be made! Ok so we may have a tall order trying to find a bed and a dresser in black and then a different chest of drawers.Oh this process makes my head spin!

AND... were shopping for anew mattress! The one we have sucks! Luckily we can take it back but the next one we buy will for sure not have that option so I better Love it! I thought I loved the one we have now but after one nights sleep I was ready to toss it! A year later I'm still hating it and finally insisting we upgrade!

What I wouldn't give to walk in to my bedroom and see it furnished and have the softest bed ever to welcome me each night! Oh that would be such a dream!!1Instead I live a nightmare!!!!

Bunco= Happiness!!!

I love love love Bunco night! Once a month I get a chance to join the funnest group of girls and just relax, eat amazing food and get our bunco on!!! I have missed the last two months so I was craving a Bunco get together! Last night did not disappoint! I meet this group of girls almost exactly a year ago and I can't thank Erin enough for inviting me to my first night!!!

Kim hosted and she's such a great host!!! Her house was to die for first of all!!Such a great decorator and dinner was so good! I had two helpings and snacked all night on the salad! Her prizes were adorable! She recently got hooked on Fly Lady so her prizes all had cleaning themes! How funny is that! Thanks Kim for a great night!

I love the conversations we have! We talked about "yeah right those Chinese gymnasts are 16!!," Swingers in Utah, cleaning "zones", points and What everyones been hearing about peoples take on Bunco!

So what's the local buzz on Bunco in your area? People think it's a good thing? too clickie? like gambling? I would love to hear what you all think!

I love it so much!!! All of us who come are for it obviously. We pay $5 each time and get a wonderful meal out of it and possible a prize! HELLO!!!! who can get a meal for $5!!!! I see no harm in it! Especially becasue this group in particular is made up of so many girls who in one way or another know someone but not necessarily the entire group when they started!Maybe becasue I'm sooooo not easily offended I hate to hear the excuse that people don't like it becasue it excludes people! WHO CARES!!!!! People need to understand that not everyone can host 45 people in a home just to not hurt feelings! I have to admit... I too have put off having a party because I just couldn't narrow down my guest list without hurting feelings! I need to get over that at some point...'cause in the end I DON"T have ANY party and where's the fun in that!

If people don't get invited it's not becasue they weren't liked! It may have just been space or the group dynamics that helped make up a guest list! Again....I could care less if I got invited to the ladies movie night or lunch with the girls or not! I know that's not always the case!Anywho... That was sort of a rant!Forgive!!!! I tend to do that some times!

ok... I'm done!
